Windows Server 2008 R2 has been RTM for a couple of weeks now – and more information is starting to flow about this new OS. Like many people, i have started upgrading our internal servers, and found it to be a easy process – however there are quite a few major server apps that either do not work with R2, or have not been certified as supported as yet – and finding information on this isnt easy.
Below is a table of the current status of many popular server applications and what platforms they are supported on. Please note that over the coming weeks, some of these status’s will change as existing products are certified or patched to work with R2.

Exchange 2010 entries are purely speculation – however it is fair to assume that exchange 2010 will continue to be x64 only, and support R2 as the release candidate does (http://msexchangeteam.com/archive/2009/08/17/451974.aspx)
SCCM 2007 will support R2 as of SP2 (http://blogs.technet.com/systemcenter/archive/2009/08/05/configuration-manager-2007-service-pack-2.aspx)
