SCCM 2012 R2 CU3 – easier way of getting CU3 into your TS

While looking around today, I saw this

This method is much nicer than the “copy the patch over the call it in the sccm setup command line” method….

It is simply

Obtain the hotfix or CU you wish to include (http://support2.microsoft.com/kb/2994331 for CU3 – current at time of writing)
Create a “ClientPatch” directory under Clienti386 and Clientx64
Copy in the appropriate MSP’s for each platform
Update the package(s)

Apparently this method has been around for a while – but is unsupported.
