Outlook 2010 beta – odd issue

so it came to my attention today that some of my messages were getting big…. 880k in fact when sending an email with one line of text.

The client that reported this to me is running sun one (yes, you heard right… and yes, they are looking at moving) so i thought it might be some kind of whacky conversion issue….

sure enough, sending a message from myself to myself… 880k…. sending from an outlook 2007 client – a couple of k…

after a quick search, i couldn’t see where the size was coming from… so instead of investigating, i just went back to office 2007 – as are a bit short on time at the moment (a bit, meaning alot)

Still if anyone else runs into this – i’d love to hear what it turns out to be.

* Update * – so after viewing one of the problem sent items in Outlook 2007, i notied this when looking at the mail in plain text…

<html xmlns:v=”urn:schemas-microsoft-com:vml” xmlns:o=”urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office” xmlns:w=”urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:word” xmlns:m=”http://schemas.microsoft.com/office/2004/12/omml” xmlns=”http://www.w3.org/TR/REC-html40″><head><META HTTP-EQUIV=”Content-Type” CONTENT=”text/html; charset=us-ascii”><meta name=Generator content=”Microsoft Word 14 (filtered medium)”><style><!–

@font-face
{font-family:Wingdings;
panose-1:5 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0;}

And another 31000 lines of this… so thats where all my space is going…. i dont have outlook 2010 beta to look for the root cause anymore… but hopefully this wont be in the RC and it wont be an issue anyway.
